Man-ifest

No more dating for me until my divorce is signed and sealed but there is no harm in man-ifesting whilst I wait!

I would like to ask for a few little things.

My heart doesn’t wish for any more sighs

And I’d rather walk solo than travel again

Through that darkness that comes with mismatch and trials.

Of a relationship born in shadows and lies.

So God, if you’re listening, I pray for these things, for a future with no heartbreak, but smiles that sing.

This time I promise to listen more wisely, to recognise confusion as a symptom of lies.

Please grant me a man who understands love, who seeks soul connection, values family and does

The work that it takes to maintain trust and respect. Who follows his heart, is loyal and yet

Strong and consistent, silly and brave. And can also find laughter and lightness those days

When we’re tested by life or perhaps just our pasts, those moments we know that never need last.

I would love to ask for a little bit more,

Intelligent, stable, abiding deep faith, who seeks new ventures and wishes to make

Memories and dreams and magical adventures, whilst equally happy with those monotonous tenures.

Let him stay when uncomfortable and I promise this, with patience, to find our way through to a place close to bliss.

Let us crave both the touch of our lips and our hands, caressing and gentle, honouring the commitment that stands

Between our hearts, our breath, our children and more. To create a love that is bold and soothing for sure.

I’d like to ask for one last thing.

To be adored, to feel safe in his arms, to surrender. Knowing that our love is forever and tender.

When I manifest this, these few little things, I will bathe in the joy that divine love brings.
